Updates on Cowries of NSW

One of the purposes of publishing "Cowries of New South Wales" was to encourage people to come forward with additional information on the NSW cowries.

The page will be used to record any relevant information that has been advised to the author since the completion of the book.  In particular, it will list any additional species from NSW, taxonomic changes, new locality information, new size records, and unusual variations in shell colour or form.

Please note that people presenting new information may be asked to provide evidence to verify that information.  Whether or not the new information is recorded on this page is at the sole discretion of the author.

UPDATES

  • Cypraea leviathan (at least 10 specimens)
  • Cypraea pseudoteres (2 specimens)

Additional information on these three species will be posted on this page in the near future.
